Football Predictions Saturday
Real Madrid v Osasuna
Correct Score - 2:0
Real Madrid have the chance to get things back on track on Saturday afternoon as they welcome Osasuna to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. – Check out our latest La Liga odds.
When Kylian Mbappe inevitably joined Real Madrid, the football world thought that would be enough for Los Blancos to runaway with La Liga and even the UEFA Champions League again. However, it’s been the complete opposite for Carlo Ancelotti’s side who suffered their first back-to-back home defeats on Wednesday night for the first time since 2020. Los Vikingos lost to AC Milan in the UCL resulting in the Kings of Europe occupying eighteenth place in this league phase, with a trip to Anfield up next. It’s not much better in the league, following their heavy defeat to Barcelona and the postponement of their game at Valencia, Real Madrid now trail the league leaders by nine points, albeit having played a game less, there’s no room for another slip-up in this one.
Osasuna won twelve games last season in La Liga, leaving the Gorritxoak in eleventh place. After their first twelve games this season, Vincente Moreno’s side have already pick up six victories and twenty-one points as they head into this clash in Madrid outside the top four on goal-difference. Los Rojillos remain the only side so far to beat Barcelona in the league, they defied the betting odds that day and they’ll be looking to do the same in this one.
Osasuna haven’t beaten Real Madrid since 2011, the last time they won at the Santiago Bernabeu came back in 2004, nineteen attempts ago. I think we’ll see a Real Madrid victory in this one, they should have more than enough to bounce back.
Outright Winner - Real Madrid
There’s still a long way to go in the La Liga title race, Real Madrid are definitely not out of this one.
Mainz v Borussia Dortmund
Match Result and Both Teams To Score - Borussia Dortmund and Yes
Borussia Dortmund will travel to the Mewa Arena to face Mainz on Saturday afternoon in the Bundesliga. – Check out our Bundesliga odds.
Mainz had an incredible turnaround towards the back end of last season, their unbeaten run in their last nine games ultimately secured their safety by two points. However, Bo Henriksen just doesn’t seem to be getting the same level of performances out of his side so far this season, the 05ers sit just two points above the drop zone after their first nine games, having won just two, they are yet to pick up a victory on home soil in this campaign across all competitions.
You felt that Nuri Sahin was coming under a little pressure given the start his side have made, especially after an early exit from the German Cup. Since that elimination at the hands of Wolfsburg, the Prussians have put together back-to-back victories against RB Leipzig and most recently Sturm Graz in the UEFA Champions League, although they had to bide their time on Tuesday evening, with Donyell Malen scoring the only goal on 85 minutes. A victory in this one could put Dortmund into the top three depending on results elsewhere.
Borussia Dortmund have a very good record on this ground in recent years, they’ve taken victory in six of their last seven visits. Mainz did win this fixture 3-0 back in May, but they we’re a side fighting for survival and had the bit between their teeth, they are not quite at that stage yet.
To Be Relegated - FSV Mainz
Mainz will be hoping they can have a much more comfortable season than their last campaign but they need to start winning before they get themselves into a relegation battle.
St. Pauli v Bayern Munich
Hat-trick - Kane, H
It’s been a long wait for these two sides to cross paths again, the Millerntor-Stadion is the venue as St. Pauli come up against Bayern Munich for the first time since 2011.
After their recent promotion back into the German top-flight, its no surprise to see St. Pauli flirting with the relegation zone in these early stages. The Kiezkicker have picked up two victories in their first nine games, one of which came in their last outing away to fellow strugglers Hoffenheim, a 2-0 victory pushed Alexander Blessin’s side out of the bottom three, the home faithful are still awaiting that not only their first league victory on home soil but their first goal, the only side in the Bundesliga that haven’t scored at home.
Bayern Munich are making sure they give everything to claim their Bundesliga title back, Vincent Kompany’s side sit at the summit following their first nine games and remain the only side yet to face defeat in the league. The Bavarians have been ruthless in front of goal away from home, having scored a massive twenty-two goals within just five games. The Reds head to Hamburg off the back of a 1-0 victory on Wednesday evening against Benfica in the UEFA Champions League, a result which makes it four wins from their last four.
It's no surprise to see Bayern Munich as the heavy favourites for this one, the last time they played away to St. Pauli, they came away with an 8-1 victory under caretaker boss Andries Jonker, I don’t think it’ll be eight but I’m expecting goals.
To Be Relegated - FC St. Pauli
St. Pauli will be hoping they can retain their Bundesliga status but it’s likely they’ll spend the majority of this season fighting relegation.
Brentford v AFC Bournemouth
No Draw Both Teams To Score - Yes
Bournemouth travel to West London on Saturday afternoon to face Brentford in this Premier League battle. – Check out our Premier League odds.
Brentford somehow managed to come away from their West London derby against Fulham on Monday evening with nothing to show for their efforts, despite leading 1-0 in the 91st minute. Thomas Frank will be furious that his side have thrown away another victory, it’s already happened on four occasions in the league and the Bees now sit in twelfth place. The good news for Brentford ahead of this clash is the fact they’ve not lost to Bournemouth in all four of their Premier League meetings.
AFC Bournemouth are giving those teams towards the top of the table a torrid time, the Cherries defied the odds beating Arsenal 2-0, they travelled to Aston Villa and stole a point right at the end before beating Manchester City 2-1 in their last outing, they really are playing their part in this title race. Andoni Iraola’s side have struggled on the road though, with just one win from their first five games.
Brentford have been solid on home soil, yet to face defeat at the Brentford Community Stadium but also remain one of two sides yet to keep a clean sheet in any of their league games. We’re likely to see goals here given both teams have found the back of the net in four of their last five competitive meetings. Here you can find all our Premier League tips.
To Finish In Top Half - Brentford
Thomas Frank will be hoping his side can climb the table and challenge for a place in the top half of the Premier League.
Crystal Palace v Fulham
Match Result and Both Teams To Score - Draw and Yes
South London meets West London on Saturday as Crystal Palace take on Fulham in the Premier League at Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace have started slowly this season under Oliver Glasner but they’ve started to see some small signs of improvement in recent games. Eight games had passed in the Premier League until the Eagles picked up their first league win of the season, a 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur was followed up with a surprising victory in the EFL Cup away to Aston Villa. Last weekend they travelled to Wolves and were held to a 2-2 draw but Jean-Philippe Mateta thought he had secured all three points late on only for the referee to rule it out controversially.
Football is a funny old game, Fulham were left heartbroken away to Everton after conceding a late minute equaliser, leaving Merseyside with just a point instead of three. Fast-forward nine days and the Cottagers found themselves at the other end of the scale, trailing at home in the 91st minute against their rivals Brentford, up stepped Harry Wilson not once but twice within the last five minutes of the game to complete a remarkable turnaround and secure all three points for Fulham, a victory which moved Marco Silva’s side into the top half of the Premier League.
It’s a fixture that has produced plenty of draws in recent years, four of the last five meetings have all ended in a stalemate, I think we could be in for a score draw in this one.
To Finish In Top Half - Fulham
Fulham occupy ninth place ahead of this one, Marco Silva will be hoping his side can around this spot towards the end of the season.
West Ham United v Everton
Correct Score - 1:1
The London Stadium is the venue for this one as West Ham United welcome Everton in this intriguing Premier League battle on Saturday.
Julen Lopetegui looked to have given himself a bit of breathing space after West Ham’s victory against Manchester United but the Hammers travelled to Nottingham last weekend and suffered their fifth league defeat with only ten games played, piling the pressure back on the Spaniard. With just three league wins so far, West Ham have dropped to fourteenth with just six points separating them from the bottom three and things could get worse on Saturday, with the Irons failing to keep a clean sheet on home soil in their last fourteen league games.
After a slow start to the campaign, Everton had looked to pick up some momentum and had put together a five-game unbeaten run (W2, D3) including that dramatic last-minute equaliser against Fulham. However, the Toffees had a real chance to put some distance between themselves and the bottom three last weekend but handed Southampton their first Premier League win of the season, a result which has now also put pressure back on Sean Dyche.
I think we’re in for a cagey affair here in London, both sides will be desperate not to lost which could see us set for a stalemate.
To Be Relegated - Everton
It’s so important for Everton to avoid relegation given the Toffees are set to move into their new stadium next season but there’s only so long you can get away with the flirting of relegation.
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Southampton
Match Result and Both Teams To Score - Wolverhampton Wanderers and Yes
The Premier League’s bottom two will come head-to-head on Saturday as Wolverhampton Wanderers take on Southampton at Molineux. – Check out our Premier League odds.
Wolves are going through a real tough period right now, without a win in their first ten Premier League games, their longest wait since the 1983/1984 campaign. Anything other than a win here would more than likely be the last time we see Gary O’Neil in charge if Wolves, especially with the international break forthcoming, the Wolves faithful let their thoughts be heard when he substituted both Tommy Doyle and Pablo Sarabia despite being 1-0 down to Crystal Palace at the time. They did manage to pick up a point from that game but this is such a big game in Wolves’ season.
Southampton picked up their first Premier League victory of the season in their last outing, a result which moved them off the bottom of the table and above Saturday’s opponents. Russell Martin will be aware that they travel to Wolves up against it though, given the Saints haven’t won any of their last twelve Premier League away games, the last time they beat Wolves away from home in a league game was back in 2007, a 6-0 victory in the Championship, not quite sure we’ll get the same outcome in this one.
I think Wolves have been unlucky in a lot of their games so far this season, they’ve seen both teams hit the back of the net in 90% of their league games so far and 100% (5/5) on home soil. I’m expecting goals for both sides in this one but Wolves to pick up their first win of the season. Here you can find all our Premier League predictions.
To Finish Bottom - Southampton
A defeat here for the Saints would see them return to the bottom of the Premier League and could be in for a long season.
Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester City
MatchCombo - Erling Braut Haaland to score anytime, Man City to win & BTTS
Manchester City will travel for their fourth consecutive away game in all competitions on Saturday as they face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League. – Check out our Premier League odds.
Brighton head into this fixture occupying eighth place in the Premier League with the early stages showing the Seagulls could be in contention for another European campaign next season. Fabian Hurzeler’s side are winless in their last three games after their back-to-back defeats to Liverpool in both the EFL Cup and the Premier League. The positive for Brighton is that they remain one of just four sides that are yet to face defeat on home soil in the league.
Questions are just starting to being asked about Pep Guardiola’s side, remarkably no more so than from his own fans. Man City travel to the South Coast off the back of three losses in a row, which is the first time it’s happened since April 2018. They exited the EFL Cup early at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur, followed up with a defeat on the South Coast last weekend against Bournemouth before Sporting took advantage of their defensive injury crisis and hit them for four. It’s a challenging time for Pep Guardiola but he’s stated he “loves it”, I’m not sure he’ll love it quite as much if his side fail to win again here.
Brighton will be licking their lips at the thought of facing this Manchester City defence but they’ll be aware of their awful record against the Citizens, having won just one of their sixteen meetings prior. Here you can find all our Premier League betting tips.
Outright Winner - Manchester City
Despite recent struggles, it’s always difficult to write Manchester City off and Pep Guardiola usually get the best out of his side after Christmas.
Juventus v Torino
Correct Score - 2:1
Serie A on Saturday evening offers us the 252nd Derby della Mole, as Torino make the short trip to the Allianz Stadium to face their rivals Juventus. – Check out our latest Serie A odds.
After the first eleven games of the new Serie A season, Juventus remain the only side yet to face defeat but the problem for Thiago Motta is that his side are currently sixth in the league, having drawn more games than they have won (W5, D6). The Old Lady played out another stalemate in the Champions League on Tuesday night away to Lille, meaning they’ve now seen three of their last four games in all competitions end in a draw. I Bianconeri did win their last outing in the league against Udinese and a victory here would secure their first consecutive wins since their first two games of the campaign.
Torino started the season brilliantly under Paolo Vanoli, the Maroons were actually the league leaders for a couple of weeks but things haven’t been great of late. They’ve suffered defeat in six of their last seven games resulting in them falling down to tenth in Serie A, a victory here would be a great result given they’ve not beaten Juve away from home since 1995.
I think we’ll see Juventus take victory in this one, their record in this fixture is remarkable having not lost in their last twenty meetings against their rivals, with wins in three of their last four.
Outright Winner - Juventus
The Old Lady are just four points off Napoli at the top of the table, they’ll be hoping to keep up with the pack and claim their thirty-seventh Scudetto.
Liverpool v Aston Villa
MatchCombo - Mohamed Salah to score anytime, Liverpool to win & BTTS
League leaders Liverpool await the visit of Aston Villa as the two sides meet at Anfield in this Premier League clash on Saturday night. – Check out our Premier League odds.
There doesn’t seem to be any stopping Liverpool at the moment, Arne Slot’s side came from behind in their game against Brighton last weekend to secure all three points for the eighth time in their first ten Premier League games. The Reds then faced a tricky visit from Bayer Leverkusen and Xabi Alonso, with a 4-0 victory for Slot’s men, they are now the only side in the UEFA Champions League to have won all four of their games, it’s an impressive start from the Dutchman.
Aston Villa seem to have hit a bit of a stumbling block in recent weeks, the Villans have lost three consecutive games in all competitions now, their 4-1 hammering away to Tottenham last weekend was followed up with a 1-0 defeat in the UEFA Champions League against Club Brugge in bizarre circumstances after Tyrone Mings conceding one of the strangest penalties you’ll see. A trip to Anfield won’t fill the Villa faithful with confidence of getting back on track, they’ve not won here in their last five visits, falling to defeat in four of their last five trips.
Liverpool should get the job done here, they’ve been in unbelievable form since that shock defeat to Nottingham Forest, having won eleven of the following twelve games. Here you can find all our latest Premier League tips.
Outright Winner - Liverpool
Liverpool will be hoping to hit the jackpot under Arne Slot and claim another Premier League title.
Angers v Paris Saint-Germain
Correct Score - 1:3
Angers will welcome the Ligue 1 Leaders on Saturday night as they face Paris Saint-Germain at the Stade Raymond-Kopa. – Check out our Ligue 1 odds.
Wins for Angers have been hard to come by at the start of this season, they failed to win any of their first eight games in Ligue 1. However, that’s all changed after Alexandre Dujeux’s side put together consecutive victories within the space of a week, a 4-2 victory over fellow struggles St. Etienne was followed up with a shock 1-0 victory away to Monaco, Le SCO will need to upset the odds again in this one if they are to make it three league wins on the bounce, something they’ve not done since 2020.
PSG suffered more frustration in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening, Luis Enrique’s side were beaten on home soil against Atletico Madrid following a late winner from the Spanish outfit. The Parisians will be looking for some sort of reaction and a game on the road could provide just that given PSG haven’t lost in their last twenty-nine league games away from home, a victory in this one could extend their early lead at the top to nine points, depending on results elsewhere this weekend.
This should be straightforward to Paris Saint-Germain, they’ve never lost to Angers and have won all of their last sixteen meetings between the two.
To Be Relegated - Angers SC
Angers sit just outside the bottom three via goal difference ahead of this clash, their top-flight status could be in danger come May.
Football Predictions Sunday
Manchester United v Leicester City
MatchCombo - Rasmus Höjlund to score anytime, Man United to win & BTTS
Leicester City will travel to Old Trafford for the second time in ten days as they face Manchester United in the Premier League. – Check out our Premier League odds.
Ruud Van Nistelrooy will lead this Manchester United side out for the last time on Sunday afternoon with Ruben Amorim occupying the hotseat from Monday. The Manchester United legend will be hoping to stay at the club in some capacity but he’s done a fairly decent job whilst at the helm, his side beat Leicester City in the EFL Cup before playing out a 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday. The Red Devils secured their first win in a European game in over a year on Thursday evening with a 2-0 victory over PAOK, Amad wanted to prove a point and he did just that with a brace, United will be hoping to send Ruud off with a victory before a new-era begins in Manchester.
Leicester City travelled to fellow newly-promoted side Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon, avoiding defeat would have been the object for Steve Cooper’s side, especially after falling 1-0 behind just after the break. The Foxes made the extra-man advantage count following Kalvin Phillips’ dismissal but had to wait until the 94th minute for Jordan Ayew to secure a point and keep the gap to the bottom three at five points with ten games played. The Foxes will be determined not to give up as many chances as they did ten days ago at Old Trafford, they’ve won just one of their last fifteen visits to Man United.
A win here for Manchester United could see them move into the top half of the table depending on results elsewhere, they’ll hope to be just as clinical as the EFL cup game and make it more comfortable for themselves. Here you can find all our Premier League predictions.
To Finish In Top 6 - Manchester United
Ruben Amorim has a big job on his hands, there’s no question about that but he’ll be hoping he can hit the ground running and put a real challenge in for those top six places.
Nottingham Forest v Newcastle United
MatchCombo - BTTS, Chris Wood 1+ shots on target & Alexander Isak 1+ shots on target
Newcastle United will make a trip to the East Midlands on Sunday afternoon to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest have been the real surprise package in the early stages of the Premier League, the Tricky Trees have put together three consecutive victories in the Premier League for the first time since May 1999, it’s a start that has seen Nuno Espirito Santo’s occupy third place after their first ten games. Forest will also be boosted by the fact they’ve managed to poach Arsenal’s sporting director Edu, a man that’s been highly praised for the job he’s done with the gunners recently.
After five games without a win in the Premier League, Newcastle United bounced back in style last weekend with a 1-0 victory on home soil against Arsenal, that secured consecutive wins in all competitions following their 2-0 victory against Chelsea in the EFL Cup just a few days before. Newcastle will be hoping to challenge for those European places this season after frustratingly missing out due to the fact Manchester United won the FA Cup, a win in this one could move the Magpies up to sixth depending on results elsewhere across the PL.
Despite both sides sitting bottom of the goals per game table, I think we could be in for a couple of goals in this one given nine of the last ten meetings have seen both teams hit the back of the net.
To Finish In Top 6 - Newcastle United
Newcastle United will be looking to finish inside those top six places to secure European football again for the Toon Army.
Tottenham Hotspur v Ipswich Town
Correct Score - 4:1
Tottenham Hotspur welcome Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon in this Premier League clash.
Tottenham Hotspur return to home soil after a tricky game in Istanbul on Thursday evening, a Victor Osimhen double put Galatasaray 3-1 up just before the break, it was a mixed night of emotions for youngster Will Lankshear, the nineteen-year-old scored his first competitive goal for Spurs but gave his team a real up-hill task when he received two yellow cards within the space of seven minutes during the second-half. Ange Postecoglou didn’t look impressed, his side didn’t give up and Dominic Solanke continued his goal-scoring streak but the Lilywhites suffered their first defeat in this seasons Europa League. Tottenham have been brilliant on home soil, they’ve won all of their last six games since their defeat in the North London Derby.
Ipswich remain just one of two sides in the Premier League that haven’t managed to secure a victory in their first ten games. Kieran McKenna’s side have been a couple of times and most recently against Leicester City, just seconds away from those first three points before conceding a 94th minute equaliser. The Tractor Boys have been great value for money in terms of entertainment having seen 80% (4/5) of their away games in the league produce both teams to score, they just seem to be lacking that final bit of luck.
I think we’ll see an entertaining game in this one but ultimately Spurs should get the job done quite comfortably, especially given their recent home record.
To Finish In Top 4 - Tottenham Hotspur
Ange Postecoglou will be looking to secure Champions League football again for Tottenham Hotspur.
Kilmarnock v Celtic
MatchCombo - Over 2.5 Celtic goals & Over 7.5 Celtic corners
League leaders Celtic will make the relatively short trip to Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon as the two sides meet at Rugby Park in the Scottish Premiership. – Check out our Scottish Premiership odds.
Kilmarnock suffered with a slow start to this campaign, Derek McInnes’ side failed to win any of their first six league games but things have picked up in recent weeks for Killie, having won three of their last five games, resulting in The Pride of Ayrshire sitting eighth after their first eleven games, picking up twelve points along with three other sides. Killie have won just once at Rugby Park in their first four games, although that did come in their last outing and against another side from Glasgow, Rangers.
Celtic have started their defence of the Scottish Premiership title in fine form, despite picking up the same points as Aberdeen (28), the Celts sit at the summit on goal-difference. They travel to Kilmarnock full of confidence, Brendan Rodgers side picked up their second win in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night with an impressive victory over German side RB Leipzig at Celtic Park thanks to a Nicolas Kuhn brace which put them on their way to the 3-1 win. The Bhoys will also take confidence from the fact they’ve already beaten Killie in the first game of the season, running out 4-0 victors.
It's worth mentioning Killie have won two of the last three meetings at Rugby Park against Celtic, although Celtic won here 5-0 back in May and I think we’ll see them pick up the three points again in this one.
Player Top Goalscorer - K. Furuhashi
It’s been a slow start for Kyogo with just four league goals so far but Celtic will be hoping the Japanese striker can find his shooting boots and help them to another title.
Chelsea v Arsenal
Correct Score - 2:2
The final Premier League game before the international break offers up a London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. – Check out our Premier League odds.
Chelsea head into this London derby ahead of their rivals in the Premier League on goal difference, the Blues have lost just one of their last nine league games, whilst they’ve not lost at home in their last eight games across all competitions. Enzo Maresca’s side secured a result which will be added into their biggest win record on Thursday night, beating Armenian side FC Noah 8-0 in the UEFA Europa League. The Blues will be aware of their poor recent record against Arsenal though, having not beaten the Gunners at home since 2019.
After their disappointing 1-0 defeat to Newcastle on Saturday, Mikel Arteta’s side travelled to Milan to face Inter in the Champions League and it was more of the same for the Gunners, falling to a 1-0 defeat. A defeat here to Chelsea would make it three defeats in a row across all competitions for Arsenal, the first time that’s happened since December 2023/January 2024. It’s no secret that Martin Odegaard’s absence has really hurt Arsenal, so they’d have been happy to see him back on the pitch in Milan, even just for a few minutes.
I think we’ll see a stalemate in this one, five of the last ten games here between these two have ended in a draw, whilst three of the last five have produced at least four goals.
Betting Without Man City - Arsenal
Arsenal have finished second in the Premier League behind Manchester City in their last two seasons.
Rangers v Hearts
Correct Score - 2:0
After three games on the road, Rangers return to Ibrox on Sunday evening to take on Hearts in this Scottish Premiership fixture. – Check out our Scottish Premiership odds.
It’s been a tough start to the campaign for Rangers, the Gers sit third in the Premiership after their first ten games of the season but already trail their fellow title contenders Aberdeen and Celtic by nine points. Philippe Clement is a man under huge pressure, his side did manage to secure a point in the Europa League away to Olympiacos on Thursday evening to stay within the top ten of the league phase, whilst a recent 2-1 victory against Motherwell secured a Scottish League Cup final next month against Celtic, but you feel like Clement and Rangers cannot afford to slip up in this one.
Following the dismissal of Steven Naismith, Neil Critchley was the man that Hearts turned to in hope of getting their season back on track. The Jam Tarts have started well under the former Blackpool manager having won three of his six games in charge and taking a point off rivals Hibs, it’s a set of results that have moved The Jambos off the bottom of the table and above their Edinburgh rivals. However, they head into this trip to Ibrox off the back of a 2-0 defeat to German side Heidenheim in the Europa Conference League and the last time they won at Ibrox was back in 2014 in the Scottish Championship, a tough ask for Critchley and co.
Rangers have a perfect record on home soil in the Scottish Premiership, having won five from five and conceding just twice, I’ve got to agree with the betting market on this one with Rangers expected to get the win.
Outright Winner - Glasgow Rangers
Can Rangers fight back this nine point gap and claim another title?
Real Sociedad v FC Barcelona
Match Result and Both Teams To Score - FC Barcelona and Yes
La Liga leaders Barcelona will make a trip to the beautiful city of San Sebastian on Sunday evening to face Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena.
It’s taken then a while to get going this season but Real Sociedad have had more success in the last few weeks. Imanol Alguacil’s side have now won three of their last four La Liga matches although they head into this one off the back of a 2-1 defeat in the UEFA Europa League away to Plzen. La Real will hope to be fighting for one of those European spots again this season, they remain just four points off the top six but will be hoping their sluggish start isn’t going to cost them too much come the end of the season. I’m sure Txuri-Urdin would be hoping this clash on Sunday was away from home, they have the third best away record in La Liga whilst it’s quite the opposite on home soil, holding the worst record in the league with just four points from their six games.
There just doesn’t seem to be any stopping Barcelona under Hansi Flick, they look a totally different side under the German despite having a very similar squad to last season. The biggest improvement for me has been their goalscoring, they scored seventy-nine goals in the league last season, they’ve already scored over half of that (40) after just twelve games, it’s astonishing. It’s not just La Liga in which Barcelona are having so much fun in front of goal, they’ve also scored the most goals in the UEFA Champions League so far, with another five on Wednesday night, they are looking the real deal in these early stages.
Barcelona have an unbelievable record against Real Sociedad, they’ve lost just one of their last ten meetings and have won eight of those. Whilst they tend to enjoy their visits to San Sebastian, winning the last four here.
Outright Winner - Barcelona FC
Barcelona will be confident of staying at the summit and should claim their twenty-eighth title in May.

Of course, a value football prediction is no guarantee of the bet being a winner, but these are the kind of wagers all punters are after.
Our daily football tips will strive to find the best value on the board whether that lies in the handicap markets, player props or total goals predictions.
The options for good value football predictions increase the closer we get to kick-off. Bookmakers make more markets available a day or two before the match, but you can place result and over/under wagers well in advance.
