In a whirlwind turn of events, the latest Leeds United transfer news columns are reporting that the Whites are on the verge of signing Real Madrid’s Diego Llorente.
Marcelo Bielsa has been eyeing up a move for a few players in recent weeks, with Leeds fans hoping for one or two more arrivals at Elland Road before the transfer deadline.
Leeds have bolstered their squad in most key areas, with Robin Koch thriving in his early career at the club and Rodrigo showing his quality in the final third.
However, Leeds have been linked with various players across Europe in a bid to add depth to their Premier League squad. A few deals have gone quiet in recent weeks but Llorente’s move looks well and truly on.
Pending a medical and contract agreements, Llorente will join Leeds before the end of the transfer window. The Athletic’s Phil Hay states that Leeds will spend £17 million to bring the Sociedad man to Elland Road.
Leeds supporters will be hitting up YouTube to check out their latest addition. Llorente is a Spain international and he could be a huge hit in west Yorkshire if he lives up to the hype.
Bielsa is one of the best at targeting players from La Liga and Llorente could blossom into a fan favourite at Elland Road if everything goes to plan.
Fans Heap Praise On Swindon Loanee Jordan Stevens
As suggested here on September 14th, Jordan Stevens has joined Swindon Town on a season-long loan and Leeds United transfer news columnists have claimed that the Robins are getting a top prospect.
The 20-year-old winger looks destined for the top but Leeds have decided to loan him out in a bid to gain regular first team football at Swindon.
Leeds supporters have told Robins fans that they are getting a superb young talent and we could see Stevens thrive in League One this season.
Stevens joined Leeds from Forest Green Rovers two years ago but will now go out on loan for the first time after spending time in the Leeds under-23 squad.
Good luck Jordan, a fantastic opportunity to play regular first team football under a young attack minded coach! The 20 year old’s versatility will be a huge boost for Swindon through the season. Stevens has a fantastic turn of pace and loves to create and score goals https://t.co/xEraisLck5

The winger has played for Leeds but has yet to start a competitive game for the Whites, though Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly a big fan of Stevens.
The Argentine included Stevens in a 16-man squad for a pre-season trip to Australia last summer – which suggests that he is part of Bielsa’s long term plans at Elland Road.
Leeds fans will be focused on securing their Premier League status this campaign but many will be keeping a close eye on Stevens’ progress in the third tier of English football.
If Stevens shines for the Robins, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see the 20-year-old earn a spot in Leeds’ first team squad ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
