The Triumph Hurdle could turn out to be one of the highlights of the week, with the likes of Zanahiyr, French Aseel and Adagio towards the head of the horse racing betting odds.
First ran in 1939, the Triumph Hurdle has been a regular feature on the Cheltenham Festival schedule for over 80 years and long may it continue. The first race on the final day, punters will hope that Day 4 tips get off a flyer in the Triumph.

Triumph Hurdle Trainers:
Nicky Henderson leads the way with seven Triumph Hurdle winners, with Pentland Hills claiming his most recent victory in the race in 2019.
Henderson will be hoping to add another Triumph Hurdle to his long list of Cheltenham Festival wins and the Seven Barrows trainer will have a strong hand in the race.
However, Gordon Elliott is the trainer to beat this year. The Irish trainer will be tough to stop in this race, with Zanahiyr likely to go off at a very short price in Triumph betting odds.
Triumph Hurdle Prize Money:
The total prize money on offer for the Triumph Hurdle at the 2020 Cheltenham Festival was £125,000, with winning connections claiming £70,338.
Triumph Hurdle Trial Races:
The Spring Juvenile Hurdle has been a solid indicator for the Triumph Hurdle over the last 20 years.
A Grade One race that takes place at Leopardstown’s Dublin Racing Festival, a total of six Triumph Hurdle winners have competed in this race. In 2020, A Wave Of The Sea claimed a surprise victory ahead of Wolf Prince and Cerberus.
Over in the United Kingdom, the Adonis Juvenile Hurdle at Kempton Park is a race to follow when placing a bet on the Triumph Hurdle – five runners have gone on to win at Cheltenham.
Meanwhile, three winners previously ran in the Finesse Juvenile Novices Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival Trials Day in January.
Triumph Hurdle 2020 Result:
Burning Victory was the eventual winner after the Gary Moore-trained Goshen unseated Jamie Moore at the final hurdle.
With the race at his mercy, Goshen got the final obstacle wrong and lost his rider as a result, with the mare Burning Victory staying on best up the Cheltenham hill to claim a Triumph Hurdle success for Willie Mullins.
