Ante Post - a bet which is placed before the Final Declarations are known | - Ante Post bets are accepted on the basis of 'all in', whether the greyhound participates or not. This means that if the greyhound does not run or participate in the race or event named (as applicable) you will lose your bet. This applies even if the greyhound was not entered in the race, as long as there was the possibility that it could have been entered at a later stage.
- You will lose your bet if the greyhound which you bet on does not race.
- Tattersalls Rule 4 (c) Greyhounds Deductions (as detailed below) will only apply if we expressly state that they do in the odds offered for the race.
- Your Ante Post bet will be voided by us if: (i) the relevant race is abandoned or is declared void by the relevant governing association, body or organization other than where the relevant race is run within 14 days’ from the scheduled start time of the original race and provided all of the conditions of the re-run race are exactly the same as the original race (for example the re-run race is held at the same venue, at the same track and entries are not re-opened); or (ii) the conditions of the race are altered (as detailed under Tattersalls Rules of Betting - which can be found here: http://www.tattersallscommittee.co.uk/) after your bet is made.
- Ante Post bets are settled at the odds and Place terms in the ‘Each Way and Win’ Section that apply when we accept your bet. Should a bet be accepted at the wrong odds or under the wrong terms stated in the ‘Place Each Way and Win’ Section of these rules, we may void the bet.

Distance | General Rules - We will settle Distance bets on the distance between the first and second placed greyhound past the post as determined by the race meeting organisers.
- The following numerical values will apply: Nose = 0.05 of a length, Short Head = 0.1 of a length, Head = 0.2 of a length, Neck = 0.3 of a length, Half a length = 0.5 of a length, Three Quarters = 0.75 of a length.
- The maximum distance for any one race is 12 lengths. So by way of example only, if the first greyhound beats the second greyhound by 15 lengths, we will deem the wining distance as 12 lengths.
Greyhound Winning Distance - Bets are placed on a listed greyhound's winning distance in one race meeting.
- We will void your bet in the event the race meeting organisers do not declare a result.
- You will lose your bet, if the greyhound which you have bet on does not run in the relevant race.
Meeting Winning Distances - Bets are placed on the aggregate of the winning distances from one race meeting.
- If at least one race is abandoned or declared void by the race meeting organisers all bets will be voided by us. The foregoing will not apply to any bet, for which the outcome has been irrevocably determined prior to the abandonment of the relevant race and your bet will be settled in accordance with the relevant outcome which has been irrevocably determined.
Race Winning Distance - Bets are placed on the winning distance by a greyhound in a race.
- We will void your bet if the race meeting organisers do not declare a result.

Each Way and Win | - A Win bet is a single stake on your chosen selection winning the race. An Each Way option may also be available for you to bet on. An Each Way bet consists of two parts, the Win part and the Place part. Each part is an equal stake (for example a £20 Each Way bet will cost a total of £40). When you are placing this type of bet you are betting on your selection to either Win or be Placed within the payout terms.
- If your selection wins, both the Win and Place parts of your bet will pay out however if your selection is placed, i.e. comes second, then only the Place part only of your stake is used to calculate your winnings at the place terms (for example, 1/4 for the first two places). In such circumstance the Win part of your bet is lost.
- Each Way bets are governed by the 'Starting Price Place betting terms'. This means that the Place part of your bet will be determined by the number of greyhounds coming 'under starter's orders and not by the number of declared runners when your bet was accepted. The 'Place' part of Each Way bets will be subject to the following Place terms:
Non Handicap Races (where no greyhound receives a head start) - 2 to 4 Runners - Win Only
- 5 to 6 Runners - 1/4 the Odds 1, 2
- 8 + Runners - Runners 1/5 the Odds 1, 2, 3
Handicap Races (where one or more greyhounds receive a head start) - 2 to 4 Runners - Win Only
- 5 to 7 Runners - 1/4 the Odds 1, 2
- All Each-Way bets are settled win to win, place to place.
- If the greyhound which you bet on does not finish the race you will lose your bet.
- Should a greyhound which you bet on become a non-runner after the show price has been transmitted from the track, bets placed on that selection will be declared void. Tattersalls Rule 4(c) Greyhounds Deductions (as detailed below) shall apply to the remaining greyhounds in the relevant race.
- We may provide you with the opportunity of placing a bet on a “Betting Without” offer. In such event you can place a bet on whether a listed greyhound will be able to finish in the highest position in the race within an Each Way bet, as if the listed greyhound had not taken part in the race. Tattersalls Rule 4(c) Greyhounds Deductions (as detailed below) shall apply in the case of any non runners with respect to a “Betting Without” offer.
|
Forecast or Tricast | - Forecasts are accepted in all races of three or more actual runners and will be settled as a straight forecast (selections to finish first and second in the correct order) in accordance with the computer straight forecast dividend. If there are less than three actual runners in a race then all Forecast bets for that race will be void. Tricasts are accepted in races where an official computer tricast dividend is declared. If any bet is accepted by us on a race where no tricast dividend is declared we will void your bet.
- Selections should always be named. Unnamed Favourites are not accepted and where your bet is taken in error by us such bet will voided by us.
- Forecast Bets are settled in accordance with the computer SP straight forecast returns. If for any reason a Forecast SP return is not given, bets will be made void.
- We will refund your bet if such Forecast and Tricast bets involve a non runner.
- Combination Forecast: This is a bet where you choose three or more selections in a specified race, with any of these selections to finish first and second in the specified race.
- Combination Tricast: This is a bet where you choose three or more selections in a specified race, with any of these selections to finish first, second and third in such race.
- Straight Forecast (this may also be referred to as a Forecast): This is a bet where you name two selections to come first and second in the correct order for a specified race.
- Reverse Forecast: This is a bet where you name two selections to finish first and second in either order for a specified race.
- Tricast: This is a bet where you name the selections to finish first, second, and third in the correct order for a specified race.

Prices | - When placing a bet you can select from two available pricing options - the price the selection is at the time of placement or the Starting Price (which is referred to in these rules as “SP”). The Starting Price are the odds that apply to your selection at the start of the race. If betting is available during a race, then the SP will be the last available odds for the selection. SP isn't available for Ante Post bets.
- The alternative possibilities to the Board Price (which may also be referred to in these rules as “BP”), SP or Industry Prices (“IP”) are normally provided by us 15 minutes before the race begins. If we accept your bet with respect to a BP, IP or SP, your bet will be settled based on the calculation from the price taken at time of placement as well as the other rules detailed in this Section.
- In the event of a wrong price being offered by us then the bet will be settled at the correct price at the time the bet was struck or at SP whichever is the greater.
- If a wrong price is displayed by us and your bet is accepted by us at the wrong odds we will void your bet.
- We will only accept bets on races which have two or more runners.
|
Unnamed Favourite | - We may offer bets on an 'Unnamed Favourite'.
- The greyhound given in the SP at the shortest odds is the Unnamed Favourite. If there are two or more greyhounds given in the SP at the shortest odds, the greyhound with the lower trap number is the Unnamed Favourite.
|
Trap Challenge | - A trap challenge bet is a bet placed on the most successful trap across a number of races or in a meeting.
- Your bet will still stand if there is any vacant trap.
- At least half of the races must be completed for your bet to stand.
- If two or more trap numbers record the same number of wins then the Dead Heat Rule (as described in the General 888sport Betting Rules) will apply.
- Should any individual race result in a dead heat for first place, then all greyhounds finishing in the dead heat will be regarded as having won that race for trap challenge settlement purposes.
